Scania Tanzania Ltd has launched a CNG (compressed Natural Gas) Truck in the market. The truck is high technology and comes with a Euro 6 Engine, ideal for the Tanzanian market and especially for the transportation industry as it is both economic and environmental friendly.
Speaking during the event, Scania Tanzania Managing Director Ms Johanna Lind said, ‘Scania’s mission is to drive the shift towards a sustainable transport system. We provide a wide range of alternative to fossil fuel on the market, ranging from ethanol trucks and buses to vehicles using liquefied or compressed biogas. Today we are launching the CNG truck which can also run on biogas without changing any features on the truck.’
